Chongfu Temple is located on Chongfu Road, Licheng District, Quanzhou City, Fujian Province. The ancient name Songwan is one of the three jungles in Quanzhou and a cultural relics protection unit in Fujian Province. Chongfu Temple was built from the first year of Jianlong in the Northern Song Dynasty to the fourth year of Jianlong (960 ~ 963). Formerly known as Qianfo Temple, it was renamed Chongfu Temple in Yuanyou six years (1091).

The temple area covers an area of 10,000 square meters, and together with Kaiyuan Temple and Chengtian Temple are called the three jungles of Quanzhou Buddhism. The main buildings are Tianwang Hall, Daxiongbao Hall, Guanyin Hall, and Bell and Drum Tower. The modern abbot Miaoyue monk went to the Philippines for fund-raising and restoration. The Daxiong Hall, Heavenly King Hall, Dharma Hall, Treasury, and Zhai Hall were all restored, and the Bell Tower, Drum Tower, Ancestral Hall, Bao En Hall, Guest Hall, and Pavilion were added.
